  • If you are looking for maternity clothing – Please check CAPA
  • If you are looking for older children’s items or diapers, we no longer provide these services, but there is a community resource list on our website. .
  •  STARTING JANUARY 2016 will be be holding classes EVERY OTHER month. Due to the recent loss of our lease the classes will be held at: The Spokane Valley Library. Please watch the website, and call to register when your class becomes available. This will be the ONLY time you will be able to get a layette and take the class to get a crib loan. (if you qualify for a crib) THIS IS A ONE-TIME SERVICE. (per child) (Daddys are encouraged to attend!!)(Please leave older children with a friend or relative, as this is a class and it is disruptive to others.)
  • ~You MUST bring your ID and proof if income. If on Tanf/food stamps, we will need a copy of your award letter (you can get this information from the DSHS office. ) A current WIC folder, or pay stub works as well.
  •  If you are in need of a car seat. We DO NOT give out car seats, (unless we have been donated new ones.)At this time we are recommending parents check; our website for the car seat information. State insurance can provide a car seat, in most cases, talk to your insurance. You may qualify for a free car seat from your insurance, call the number on the back of your card and ask! .
  • If you do not know the history of the seat do NOT use it.
  • We do "loan" out portable cribs. We do not give out full size cribs. Limited to stock on hand.
  •  Also please note, if you have a drop side crib, they are now banned and considered unsafe for your child. (see below)

In December 2010, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)voted to ban all drop-side crib designs from the marketing, including the sale, RESALE (this includes yard sales and thrift stores) and manufacture of the cribs. The vote came after the drop-side design was linked to at least 32 infants and toddler deaths since 2000, and was suspected in another 14 fatalities. If you are a reseller, consignment store, thrift store, or even just having a yard sale...Do not re-sell recalled products. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW. Recalled products can cause deaths and injuries.

New Crib Standards:*PROHIBIT THE SALE OF DROP SIDE CRIBS; IMMOBILIZERS AND REPAIR KITS ARE NOT ALLOWED; *require stronger wood to prevent slat breakage; *require anti-loosening devices to keep hardware secure and prevent detaching; *strengthen mattress supports; *require more rigorous safety testing.
